Why we like it?
Baankubedda, a remote corner in the Araku coffee region that started coffee cultivation in 1999, is known as one of the furthest places for the Araku Agricultural Cooperative System (MACS), 56 miles from Munchingput mandal. During the harvest, farmers sail wooden boats to the island to harvest the crimson red cherries.
Deesari and Danyamma, passionate coffee farmers on their small 1-acre farm, stand out for their commitment to sustainable agricultural practices. The island's unique microclimate, with a diversified shade of silver oaks, mangoes, Pongamias and acacias, along with scattered rocks, contributes to the minerality of the soil, giving the coffee exceptional body and acidity.
These particular characteristics merge with regenerative agricultural practices, such as exceptional mulching and efficient moisture management, resulting in Gems163, a complex coffee with sweet tropical notes that comes to us in a hyper reduced format.
Again, another very special microlot that we advise you to try before it runs out.
