Why we like it?
We chose it for its creamy body with medium acidity and sweet finish. We normally serve it in espresso for Enjoy the intense coffee notes and because it pairs perfectly with all varieties of milk. However, this grain is incredibly versatile and can be prepared multiple ways such as V60 or Chemex.
Flor de Café is the farm of Osvaldo Pérez, who is a second generation coffee farmer. The family tradition of growing coffee dates back to 1940. Currently, it covers an area of approximately 280 hectares and provides employment to more than 150 people who permanently reside.
As the family expanded their holdings over the years, they also increased the varieties grown to include Typica, Catimor, Catuai, Pacamara and more, while also establishing their own wet and dry mills. Along with this growth, they have also continued to be stewards of the land, preserving 35 hectares of rainforest and maintaining Rainforest Alliance certification .
