Why we like it?
This microlot has without a doubt been one of our all-time favorites . The fantastic smell of your grind is just the prelude to a delicious espresso and a brutally delicate filter.
It stood out in the most famous coffee auction in Brazil, obtaining 86.95 points . SanCup is an annual meeting point for the coffee industry, where the highest quality harvests are exhibited along with exclusive beans that delight many coffee enthusiasts.
The Arara varietal has a unique ability to display notable yet peculiar flavors and aromas that result in a wonderfully balanced extraction. It comes from a cross between the yellow Catuai and Obata varieties, developed at the Brazilian Procafé - Varginha Foundation, and is grown by the Cambraia family in Santo Antônio do Amparo , a small town in the Vertentes region, in the southwest of the state of Minas Gerais .
Leading the fourth generation of coffee growers at Fazenda Samambaia, Henrique Cambraia trained in business administration with a postgraduate degree in Marketing and an MBA in International Business in Arizona to return in 1993 and turn in 1998 towards the production of specialty coffees. He presides over the Sancoffee specialty cooperative, was in charge of the non-profit institution SulMinas Café in the 1990s and was twice vice-president of BSCA (an association where he has been a member for more than 20 years). In short, Henrique and Samambaia are a reference in the Brazilian panorama of the specialty , awarded on several occasions with high positions in COE Brazil.
Appreciating a good freshly extracted coffee with friends is part of Brazilian culture. We encourage you, therefore, to make your own the good customs of the country that holds the record as the world's largest producer and supplier of coffee.
